“…I’m sure it will be great!”

30 Nov

Those are the worst words I can say out loud before a show. It’s so funny that everytime I think a performance will be terrible, it turns out amazing and everytime I think a show will be amazing, it turns out terrible. I should clarify that it’s not the performance that goes bad but somehow the connection with the audience. Every now and again you just have that show where everyone scatters when it’s over. Most of the time people hang out and talk, we get to know each other and it makes the experience so fun. I had “I’m sure it will be great performance” tonight. I even had one attendee who got mad at me because she thought I kept purposefully ignoring her 1 year old. Believe me, I would never do that. When kids are shaking shakers, dancing, volunteering, etc… it sometimes gets hard to notice everyone. The funny part is that everytime I went back to the one year old to get her to interact her mom was on her cell phone texting and didn’t see it. Oh well. The shows will go on. The fun will be had. I just have to remember to hope for a terrible show every time. LOL
